Bibles In Schools Expands Reach Across 13 Public School Districts Through the Power of Partnership

Volunteers, families, and community connections help provide 613 Action Bibles and Christian books to 80 public schools in Virginia, Florida, Kansas, and Ohio
Midlothian, VA — September 14, 2026—One phone call. One letter. One introduction. Sometimes, that is all it takes to open a door that can impact an entire school district.
During the month of August and first half of Semptember, Bibles In Schools experienced the power of partnership firsthand as volunteers, families and community connections helped the nonprofit provide 613 Action Bibles and engaging Christian books to 80 public schools across 13 school districts in Virginia, Florida, Kansas and Ohio.
The expansion reflects a central part of the Bibles In Schools mission: equipping everyday people to help make Bibles and Christian books available to students in public school libraries—legally and free.
“This is what partnership looks like,” said Hannah Sailsbury, founder of Bibles In Schools. “People are using the connections, opportunities and influence God has given them right where they are. A family can write a letter. A volunteer can make a phone call. Someone can make an introduction. When people are willing to take that first step, the impact can extend far beyond one school.”
From One Connection to an Entire District
In Virginia, a connection with a local school board member helped open the opportunity for Bibles In Schools to donate 97 Action Bibles and Christian books to 13 schools within one district.
In Florida, one family took action by writing letters on behalf of the mission. Their outreach helped Bibles In Schools provide 72 Action Bibles to 36 schools across an entire district.
In Kansas, volunteer Kathy faithfully picked up the phone and began reaching out to district leaders. Her calls helped create opportunities across multiple school districts, resulting in 420 Action Bibles and Christian books designated for 27 schools across 10 districts.
Several Kansas superintendents personally approved the donations, expressed their appreciation and agreed to help distribute the books to their school libraries.
One response was especially memorable.
After being contacted about a donation of 174 Action Bibles and Christian books for 12 schools, a Kansas district director shared that in his 15 years working there, no one had ever reached out to him offering to donate Bibles. He thanked Kathy for reaching out and encouraged her to continue contacting schools.
Bibles In Schools also provided 24 Action Bibles and Christian books to four schools in an Ohio district, further expanding the organization’s reach during August.
The Power of Saying, “I’ll Go”
These stories demonstrate that supporting Bibles In Schools extends beyond financial giving. Volunteers and supporters can become advocates for Bible access within their own communities by helping introduce the organization to school leaders, librarians, administrators and district officials.
The organization’s “Pray, Give, Go” initiative encourages supporters to participate in the mission in three important ways: pray for open doors and the students who will encounter God’s Word; give to help provide engaging Bibles and Christian books at no cost to schools; and go by helping connect Bibles In Schools with public schools and districts in their own communities.
The August expansion shows what can happen when supporters choose to “Go.”
A family wrote letters. A volunteer made phone calls. Someone made a connection with a school board member. A superintendent said yes; and, as a result, hundreds of Bibles and Christian books are making their way to public school libraries where students can freely discover them.
A Growing Nationwide Mission
Bibles In Schools is committed to providing engaging, age-appropriate Bibles and Christian books to public school libraries across the United States at no cost to schools. The organization works with librarians, educators, administrators, families, churches and volunteers to make these resources available to students who choose to read them.
The organization has now donated more than 29,000 Action Bibles and Christian books to more than 4,300 public school libraries nationwide.
The district expansions these last two months represent another milestone. It demonstrates what is possible when people recognize that they can play a personal role in bringing resources to students.
“You don’t have to have a special title or a large platform to make a difference,” Sailsbury said. “You can simply be willing to reach out. We want people across the country to realize that they can help open doors in their own communities. Pray. Give. Go. Every person has an opportunity to be part of this mission.”
