For every follower of Christ, the Great Commission is more than a calling—it is a responsibility. Jesus commissioned His Church to make disciples by teaching people His Word and pointing them toward the hope found in Him.

Is This Legal?

Yes. Public school libraries may include religious books—including the Bible—provided they are selected using the same educational and library standards applied to every other book in the collection.

The First Amendment protects both freedom of religion and freedom from government establishment of religion. Because of this, public school libraries routinely offer books representing many different faiths, philosophies, cultures, and worldviews.

Including the Bible as part of a balanced library collection is both constitutional and educational. In fact, Scripture has had an undeniable influence on history, literature, art, government, and Western civilization, making it an important resource for students seeking to understand our world.

Bibles In Schools works cooperatively with librarians and educators, honoring established library policies while helping provide high-quality, engaging Christian resources for students who choose to read them.

Students are never compelled to read these books. Instead, they are given the freedom to explore them just as they would any other library resource.
